Plastic Pellet


Plastic Pellet is the main ingredient for make a product that made by plastic, like house hold, electronic, automotive, and anything else that made from plastic. The colour of plastic pellet is a white and clear.

Plasic Pellet made by chemical material that name is Styrin monomer. The material mix with other chemical material, then the heating process is carried out to form a cylinder. Then the material formed to be hard then, cut according to the desire size.

The Reason for a pellets as an alternative to making a household and electronic product, because the price of pellets is cheaper then the product that made from copper / aluminium. In additiomal, plasctic lso has a number of advantages, because being to withstand heat, non conductor.It term very easily recognized and disguished and ecomomial, however plastic pellet have a disadvantage that’s not friendly to the environment and some of them are classified as dangerous

 

Types of Plastic Pellet     :

  • HDPE ( High Destiny PolyEthlene )

High destiny plastic pellet are generally used for milk bottles, or other type of packing bottle such a detergent bottle, margarin package, water pipes, and trash cans. These plastic pellet have bulging properties which are good for plastic bags or wrapping. This plastic seed is also considered safer to use compared to PET plastic because it is more resistant to high temperatures.


As explained above this type is more widely used for making baby bottles, tupperware bottles, gallons of drinking water, and many more.
in fact these plastic pellets are not recommended for repeated use, but the reality is different.

  • PET (PolyEthylene Terephthalate)

This type is usually used for bottling mineral drinks. This package is usually used only once, because if used repeatedly, especially using hot water will cause the bottle polymer to melt and remove dangerous carcinogenic substances and can cause cancer.
 

  • PP (PolyPropylene)

are plastic pellets which have a rigid nature, do not emit odors, and are resistant to chemicals that have dissolving, acidic and alkaline properties. These plastic pellets are widely used for automotive components, laboratory equipment, containers or places that can be used repeatedly, loudspeakers and for the purposes of stationery and textiles (carpet straps), and much more.


This type is also the same as the type of HDPE (High Density PolyEthylene) plastic which is safe to use for food packaging. The advantages of this type of plastic are, lightweight and low vapor phase, generally this type of plastic seed is used to make baby drinking bottles.
This type of plastic seed is also commonly used to make household products such as making buckets, raffia ropes, plastic bags, straws and other types of products.

  • PS Plastic Pellets (PolyStyrene)

These plastic seeds are also usually used to make beverage and food packaging but cannot be used repeatedly, because these plastic seeds contain styrene which is quite dangerous for brain health and can also interfere with the female hormone estrogen which results in reproductive and nervous system problems. if it is used more than once or repeatedly.

    ·     PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)

Is a type of polyvinyl chloride plastic that is turning back as a main ingredient in making plastic pipes, plastic wrappers or plastic containers for other substances such as detergent bottles, perfume, jerry cans of oil and so forth. PVC is not environmentally friendly and is very difficult to recycle, this type of plastic is usually marked with code number 3.
 

·         LDPE ( Low Density Polythylene )

This type of plastic is very safe to use for food packaging because it has been verified as food grade. Both consumers and producers have long used this type of plastic as a bottle or pack of food. The characteristics of this type of plastic is to have very flexible, flexible but strong enough and not easily cracked or torn.

Although this type of plastic is classified as very difficult to destroy in the soil, but at least this product can still be recycled and is very safe to use for food or beverage packaging products. This type of plasma is usually marked with code number 4.

Other advantages contained in this type of plastic that has anti-corrosion properties so that it is often used as a laboratory equipment container, cable coating, electronic parts that require other flexibility. Keep in mind this type of plastic is also very vulnerable to heat, this plastic can only survive at temperatures of 90 degrees Celsius.


  • Polycarbonate

is a type of thermoplastic polymer plastic. This type of plastic has more thermal resistance properties than other types of plastic. In terms of color, this plastic has a very clear color and is resistant to impact. Because it has a strong nature and is resistant to impact so that this plastic product is often used as a material for making plastic roofs, plastic walls and other household appliances made.

Polycarbonate is also often used as a material for making drinking bottles. However, it is better if the use of Polycarbonate is better if it is avoided because the type of plastic marked with number 7 releases the main ingredient of manufacture, Bisphenol-A, so that food or drinks will be easily contaminated with chemicals and potentially damage hormones.
